  Administrative Services



Administrative Services is a critical part of the operations of West Georgia Technical College. As a group we are responsible for the collection of all fees associated with our students and also any third party billings to other agencies in our community and surrounding areas. We work closely with the students to ensure that they get their financial aid benefits if they qualify.

This extraordinary team is made up of the following people:

Shelba Crantson – Accounts Payable/Asset Management Technician. Shelba is responsible for payment of all invoices associated with the daily operations of the college. Shelba strives to make sure these are charged to the correct department and operation expenses. Shelba is also responsible for accounts payable check runs each week and she works closely with her co-workers in the department and the College to ensure that all bills get paid in a timely manner. Shelba also maintains all Asset Management for College, including property purchases, disposals and physical inventory as directed by the Accounting Manager and the Vice President for Administrative Services.

Loriann Simpson – Accounts Receivable/Purchasing Technician. Loriann is responsible for invoicing several customers and entering invoices for other West Georgia Technical College departments. Loriann is also responsible for ensuring that all deposits are applied to the appropriate accounts and assists in collecting past due debts. Loriann is also responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for the College.

Lydia Coverson – Shipping & Receiving/Cashier Technician. Lydia is responsible for receiving incoming and outgoing shipments for all departments, and she assists with all incoming and outgoing mail. Lydia is also responsible for processing student fees in banner, assisting students at cashier window and serves as the department notary for students needing to take state boards and getting CDL License.

Leigh Howell – Student Receivables Technician. Leigh is responsible for all student receivable accounts in Banner. These duties include disbursement of financial aid programs, third party invoicing and maintaining private Scholarships accounts. Leigh is also responsible for all cashier functions.

Dianne Parrish – Business Office Manager. Dianne is responsible for the daily operations of the Business Office. Dianne is also responsible for ensuring complete and accurate financial information is available for administrative decision-making.

Carol Rushton – Human Resources Coordinator. Carol’s major responsibility is the correct entry of payroll for all West Georgia Technical College employees. Carol is also responsible for helping new employees with their new employee packets and explaining benefits, processing payroll taxes, and other duties that are required from the Human Resources Director or Vice President for Administrative Services.

Tina Jackson – Human Resources Director. Tina is responsible for the management of all human resource functions, including compensation, benefits, placing ads and employee relations. Tina works closely with the Human Resources Coordinator to ensure that new employees are entered into the PeopleSoft System. Additionally, Tina keeps the Vice President for Administrative Services informed of the day to day operations of the human resources office. Tina also assists staff and management with problems that are encountered daily. Most of all Tina tries to show a positive attitude and strong leadership qualities to make for a better team environment.

Tony Jones – Vice President for Administrative Services. Tony is responsible to the President of the College for managing the operations of the Business Office, building and grounds maintenance for the LaGrange Campus, Security for the Lagrange Campus and operations of the Human Resources Department.

The Georgia Department of Audits has just completed the College’s yearly audit. Tony is proud to announce that for the second year in a row the College had no audit findings. The Business Office Team has also been able to correct and resolve any transactions that caused the College to have findings in the previous years. Congratulations to the Business Office Team for their achievements and their dedication to the success of West Georgia Technical College.
