Alignment & Brake Specialist - Technical Certificate

The Automotive Alignment and Brake Specialist technical
certificate of credit program is designed for those participants
who choose not to pursue the full diploma program in Automotive
Fundamentals. It consists of a sequence of courses that prepares
a graduate for entrylevel employment as an automotive alignment
and brake specialist. The program provides learning opportunities
which introduce, develop, and reinforce occupational knowledge,
skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention,
and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities
to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and skills. Completion
of the program of study leads to a certificate as an Automotive
Alignment & Brake Specialist.
Length of Program
A minimum of 25 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program in 2-3 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate may find employment as an automotive alignment and brake specialist
or in related employment.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be
16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is not required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
mush achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores). Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may
take refresher/remedial instruction in order to meet admissions requirements.
