Medical Receptionist - Technical
Certificate of Credit

The Medical Receptionist certificate program
is designed to prepare students with the academic
and occupational skills necessary for employment in a variety
of medical office settings.
Students receive training in medical terminology, computer
technology, and office
administration skills. Graduates of the program may apply
the course work towards either the
Business Office Technology diploma or the Medical Assisting
program upon completion.
Length of Program
A minimum of 29 credit hours is required for graduation.
A full time student can expect to
complete the program in 2-3 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates are prepared for entry-level or advanced placement
as a Medical Office Receptionist
in a variety of medical office settings.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant must
be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may take refresher/remedial instruction
in order to meet admissions requirements.
