Networking Specialist

The Computer Information Systems Networking
Specialist degree program is a sequence of courses designed
to prepare a graduate for entry-level employment as networking
specialist. The program provides learning opportunities which
introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational
knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition,
retention and advancement. Additionally, the program provides
opportunities to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and
skills. Completion of the program of study leads to an Associate
of Applied Technology degree in Computer Information Systems
with specialization as a networking specialist.
Length of Program
A minimum of 102 credit hours is required for graduation A full time student
can expect to complete the program in 6 - 8 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate of this program may find employment as networking specialist or
in related employment.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant must
be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may take refresher/remedial instruction
in order to meet admissions requirements.
