Digital MediaTechnology - Associate of Applied Science Degree

The purpose of the Digital Media Technology program is to provide training in the emerging field of digital media production and editing. Individuals enrolled in the program will work with state of the art digital video production studio equipment and digital editing software programs to develop skills in digital video production, post production editing, and animation graphics. Students enrolled in the program will have the option of choosing from one of three areas of specialization- video production, digital post production, or animation and graphics. Graduates of the program will have career opportunities in a variety of digital media industries including commercial film studios, television, media outlets and news networks.

Length of Program
A minimum of 108 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student can expect to
complete the program in 7-8 quarters.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates of the Digital Media Technology program may find employment as videographers, post-production editors, or graphics/animation artists in a variety of digital media industries including commercial film studios, television, media outlets and news networks.

Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant must achieve program ready or provisional scores on the ASSET placement test (or submit acceptable SAT/ACT score). Applicants who do not attain the minimum scores may take refresher/remedial instruction in order to meet admissions requirements.
