Drafting -
Diploma

The Drafting diploma program is a sequence
of courses designed to prepare a graduate for entry-level
employment in drafting. The program provides learning opportunities
which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational
knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition,
retention and advancement. Additionally, the program provides
opportunities to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and
skills. Completion of the program of study leads to a diploma
in Drafting.
Length of Program
A minimum of 77 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program
in 4 - 5 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate may find employment as a drafter or various other occupations in the
drafting/AutoCAD field.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be 16
years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required for admission.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores). Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores may
take refresher/remedial instruction in
order to meet admissions requirements.
