Residential Design - Technical
Certificate of Credit

The Residential Design TCC program is a sequence of courses
designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment
as a CAD Operator with an emphasis on residential drawing.
A working knowledge of AutoCAD 2002 is essential in order
to successfully complete this certificate. The program provides
learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce
occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for
job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally,
the program provides opportunities to retrain and upgrade
present knowledge and skills. Completion of the program of
study leads to a certificate in Residential Design.
Length of Program
A minimum of 15 credit hours is required for graduation. A full-time student
can expect to complete the program
in 1 quarter.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate of this certificate program may find employment as an entry-level
CAD operator with an emphasis on residential drawing.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores). Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores may
take refresher/remedial instruction in
order to meet admissions requirements.
