Electronics Technology - Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Electronics Technology AAS degree program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment in a variety of electronics professions. The program provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and skills. Completion of the program of study leads to an AAS degree in Electronics Technology with a specialization in general or industrial electronics.

PROGRAM LENGTH
A minimum of 102 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student can expect to complete the program in 7 - 8 quarters.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
A graduate may find employment as an electrical technician, soldering technician, assembler or in related employment.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant must achieve program ready or provisional scores on the ASSET placement test (or submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants who do not attain the minimum scores may take refresher/remedial instruction in order to meet admissions requirements.
