Industrial Mechanical Technician

The Industrial Mechanical Technician TCC program is designed
for those participants who wish to obtain industrial mechanical
technician skills. It consists of a sequence of courses that
prepares graduates for entrylevel employment as industrial
mechanical technicians. The program provides learning opportunities
which introduce, develop, and reinforce occupational knowledge,
skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention,
and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities
to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and skill. Completion
of the program of study leads to a certificate as an Industrial
Mechanical Technician.
Length of Program
A minimum of 20 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program in
2 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate may find employment as an industrial mechanical technician or related
employment.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be
16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma or its equivalent is not required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores). Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may take refresher/remedial instruction
in order to meet admissions requirements.
