CNC Specialist - Technical
Certificate of Credit

The CNC Specialist TCC program is designed for those participants
who choose to increase their knowledge of Machine Tool Technology
in CNC applications. The CNC Specialist TCC consists of a
sequence of courses that prepares a graduate for entry-level
employment in CNC machining. The program provides learning
opportunities that introduce, develop, and reinforce occupational
knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition,
retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides
opportunities to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and
skills. Completion of the program of study leads to a certificate
in CNC Specialist.
Length of Program
A minimum of 41 credit hours (590 contact hours) is required for graduation.
A full time student can expect to complete the program in 3 - 4 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate may find employment as a CNC machinist/operator or in related employment.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is not required. However, a
student must be a graduate of the Machine
Tool diploma or have a minimum of (3) years
education to enter CNC Specialist Program.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores). Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores may
take refresher/remedial instruction in
order to meet admissions requirements.
