The Management and Supervisory Development
Associate of Applied Science degree program
prepares experienced workers for entry into management or
supervisory occupations in a variety of
businesses and industries. The Management and Supervisory
Development Associate of Applied
Science degree program provides learning opportunities which
introduce, develop, and reinforce
academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes
required for job acquisition, retention, and
advancement. Program graduates who are experienced workers
are prepared to perform management
and supervisory functions such as employee training, labor
relations, employee evaluation, and
employee counseling and disciplinary action. Graduates of
the program receive a Management and
Supervisory Development Associate of Applied Science degree,
with an option of a specialization in
one of five areas.
EMPLOYMENT
OPPORTUNITIES
A graduate may find employment as
a management and/or supervisor assistant
or trainee or in related employment.
PROGRAM LENGTH
A minimum of 110 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program in 7 - 8 quarters.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant must
be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may take refresher/remedial instruction
in order to meet admissions requirements.
