Injection Molding Specialist -
Technical Certificate of Credit

The Injection Molding Specialist Technical Certificate of
Credit program provides an efficient method to channel people
in need of career track opportunities into the plastics injection
molding industry. It prepares students in nine months or
less to be productive, wage earning members of the plastics
injection molding industry. The program assists students
in developing knowledge of a specific area of the plastics
industry that will insure their employment and create an
expectation of the rewards and demands of a job as an Injection
Molding Specialist. Graduates of the program receive an Injection
Molding Specialist Technical Certificate of Credit.
Length of Program
A minimum of 18 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program
in 2 - 3 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate may find employment with a plastics manufacturing company that uses
injection molding in its manufacturing process or related employment.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready scores on
the ASSET placement test (or submit acceptable
SAT/ACT scores). Applicants who do not
attain the minimum scores may take refresher/remedial
instruction in order to meet admissions
requirements.
