of 225. This test may be attempted two times only.

fall quarter.
• Acceptable criminal background clearance, toxicology
screening, and physical examination per clinical affiliate’s
requirements.
* Completion of prerequisite courses does not guarantee

Additional Information:
•
The core curriculum allows more flexibility by allowing the
student to control their class schedule to meet their personal
needs; however, if accepted into the Radiologic Technology
program, the class schedule will follow a class sequence
that is set by the program faculty.
• The Radiologic Technology program is seven (7) quarters
(21months) in length and provides both classroom and supervised
clinical experience. Classroom instruction is held during
day hours. However, some clinical education assignments may
be scheduled during both day and evening hours.
• Acceptance into the Radiologic Technology program
brings financial responsibility that may not be paid by financial
aid. If accepted, the student should be prepared for expenses
including a physical examination, liability insurance, criminal
background check, and a toxicology screening.
• West Georgia Technical College is contractually
obligated to comply with requirements set forth by facilities
used for clinical rotations. Refusal to comply with the request
for required information will result in ineligibility for
admission to the program.
Academic Progress:
•
Students accepted into the Radiologic Technology program
must pass all courses with a grade of “C” or
above to progress to the next quarter and remain on track.
Those who receive a grade below a “C” will remove
themselves from the track progression in the program; and
therefore may have to wait until the course is offered again
(usually the next year) to apply to repeat the course. Admission
back into the program is dependent upon space available at
the time the course is offered.
• Students graduating from West Georgia Technical
College’s Radiologic Technology program are eligible
to sit for a national certifying examination, The American
Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography examination.
Persons who are convicted of a misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor,
or felony may be ineligible to take this national certifying
examination.
• For pre-approval of eligibility, the applicant may
