Program Information
The purpose of the Social Work Assistant program
is designed to prepare individuals interested in working
with people to
obtain entry-level employment in public and
private social services agencies.
The social services worker
is equipped with skills, knowledge, values,
and sensitivity to effectively serve human needs in a variety
of community settings including nursing
homes, substance abuse facilities, family support agencies,
DFACS, and other public service agencies.
