The
English Literacy Education Program (ELP) assists immigrants with
limited English proficiency in acquiring the basic skills necessary
to navigate governmental, educational, workplace, banking, healthcare,
and other key American institutions.
The English Literacy Program (ELP) classes are designed to teach
the English language to students whose native tongue is not English.
The Program includes conversational and survival skills, writing,
and phonics.
Adults of all nationalities are welcome to attend the ELP classes.
Students taking the ELP classes must be 16 years or older and speak
a language other than English as their native tongue.
