2011-2012 Men's Basketball Schedule -
West Georgia Technical College is one of the newest members of the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association, formerly Georgia Junior College Athletic Association and members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The WGTC Golden Knights begin playing baseball in 2011.
Walter Dunson, Athletics Coordinator says “We have solid high school baseball programs in the schools within our service area. The high school coaches do an outstanding job of teaching kids the game of baseball. Our goal is to sign several kids locally. I feel very confident in our ability here at WGTC to compete on the Junior College level with some of the more established baseball programs.”

West Georgia Technical College welcomed the addition of intercollegiate sports and our new coaching staff Winter Quarter of 2008. Competitive sports included men's basketball and women's volleyball during the athletic program inaugural year. Fall 2008 welcomed the addition of the cheerleading program. Fall 2009 will include a women’s basketball program in addition to our current programs.
Practice times for all sports are established AFTER rosters are filled and student schedules may be analyzed. Practice locations vary depending on gym availability. Prior experience is not required for any sport.
Games will be played both home and away on Saturdays. There are no overnight trips but transportation for players/coaches is provided for away games.
Admission for all games is $3 for adults, free admission for children under 12.
All games are FREE for any current students, faculty, and staff from any Technical College System of Georgia college with proper school ID.
