Meet the Golden Knights Women's Volleyball Coaches
Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Patricia Swint
Coach Patricia Swint was named head women's volleyball coach at West Georgia Technical College in spring of 2012. She began her coaching career in 2001 at Central High School (Carrollton, Georgia), helping to build the volleyball program, which was new to Central High School athletics at the time. In her years of coaching at CHS, Coach Swint also coached junior varsity basketball, and prior to coaching on the high school level, she coached softball and basketball at Carrollton City Recreation Department, winning the Georgia u-10 girl's state basketball championship in 1994.
Coach Swint graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1994. While at UWG, she played women's basketball, softball, and volleyball. She was selected to the All-Gulf South Conference team for volleyball in 1993.
Coach Swint was a teacher at Central High School from 2001 – 2004 before leaving the classroom to take over as principal at KidsPeace School (Carroll County), working with at-risk youth.
Coach Swint is also an avid tennis player, playing in local Unites States Tennis Association (USTA) and Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) leagues. Coach Swint lives in Carrollton, Georgia with her husband Derrick and their two sons, Colton, who is a tenth grader at Central High School, and Taylor, who is a fifth grader at Central Elementary School.
