  Georgia Driver's Education--Joshua's Law

West Georgia Technical College’s Driver’s Education program meets all standards to comply with Joshua’s Law requirements.

Did you know that there are NEW requirements for new teen drivers which began January 1, 2007? Called Joshua's Law which became law on January 1, 2007, it states that if you are 16 years old, you must complete a driver education course approved by the Department of Driver Services in order to receive a Class D License. Those individuals who do not complete an approved driver education course must wait until age 17 to become licensed.

As an approved Driver’s Education provider, West Georgia Technical College currently has openings in the following Driver’s Education courses:

September 13 - October 4, 2008
October 18 - November 8, 2008
November 23 - December 20, 2008 - (Class not held on November 29)
January 24 - February 15, 2009
March 14 - April 4, 2009

Fee for the course is $375.

Successful completion of this Driver’s Education course will qualify for an insurance reduction.
