Bookkeeping Specialist - Technical

The Bookkeeping Specialist program is designed
to train students with marketable bookkeeping skills suitable
for local businesses and industries. Emphasis is placed on
basic accounting and communication skills. The program provides
a good working knowledge of accounting in addition to fundamental
computer skills and communication skills. The graduate is
qualified for entry level positions as a bookkeeper in a
variety of business and industry settings.
PROGRAM
LENGTH
A minimum of 28 quarter hours is required for graduation A fulltime student
may expect to complete the program in from two to three quarters.

A program graduate may find employment as an entry level
bookkeeper in a variety of business and industry settings.
ADMISSIONS
REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant
must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may take refresher/remedial instruction
in order to meet admissions requirements.
