CISCO Specialist - Technical
Certificate of Credit

The CISCO Specialist certificate program is
designed to give students marketable skills in designing,
building, and maintaining computer networks. The program
provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop,
and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills,
and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and
advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities
to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and skills. This
program will prepare students for the CISCO Certified Network
Associate (CCNA) certification exam.
PROGRAM
LENGTH
A minimum of 24 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program in 4 quarters.
EMPLOYMENT
OPPORTUNITIES
A graduate may find employment as
a technician trained in designing, building,
and maintaining small to medium-size networks
or in related employment.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant must
be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant
must achieve program ready or provisional
scores on the ASSET placement test (or
submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants
who do not attain the minimum scores
may take refresher/remedial instruction
in order to meet admissions requirements.
