Networking Specialist - Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Computer Information Systems - Networking Specialist associate degree program is a sequence of courses designed to provide students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in computer information processing. Program graduates are to be competent in the general areas of humanities or fine arts, social or behavioral sciences, and natural sciences or mathematics, as well as in the technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. Program graduates receive a Computer Information Systems - Networking Specialist Associate of Applied Science degree and are qualified for employment as networking specialists.

Length of Program
A minimum of 102 credit hours is required for graduation A full time student can expect to complete the program in 6 - 8 quarters.

Employment Opportunities
A graduate of this program may find employment as networking specialist or in related employment.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Age:
Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant must achieve program ready or provisional scores on the ASSET placement test (or submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants who do not attain the minimum scores may take refresher/remedial instruction in order to meet admissions requirements.
