Program Information

The Culinary Arts program
is a sequence of courses designed to prepare a graduate
for the culinary arts profession. The program provides
learning opportunities which introduce, develop, and reinforce
academic and occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes
required for acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally,
the program emphasizes a combination of culinary theory
and practical application necessary for successful employment.
Program graduates receive a Culinary Arts Diploma. Graduates
who are current practitioners will benefit through enhancement
of career potential. Entry-level persons will be prepared
to pursue diverse opportunities in the culinary field as
cooks, bakers, or caters/culinary managers.
A graduate may find employment as
cooks, bakers, caters/culinary managers or in related employment.
