The Dental Assisting certificate program provides the student with the knowledge, skills and techniques to meet the occupational needs of the dental community.
Graduates may be employed as chair side assistants in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, and prosthodontics.
Other career opportunities include insurance coordinators, infection control coordinators, appointment control coordinators, dental office assistants, and dental hygiene assistants.
Graduates of the Advanced Dental Assisting Certificate may be invited to participate in the Georgia Dental Association's Expanded Duties Certificate Courses IV, V and VI based on attendance and academic performances.
