Apprentice Machinist - Technical
Certificate of Credit

The Apprentice Machinist Technical Certificate of Credit
program is designed for those participants who choose not
to pursue the full diploma program in Machine Tool Technology.
It consists of a sequence of courses that prepares a graduate
for entry-level employment in the machining field. The program
provides learning opportunities which introduce, develop,
and reinforce occupational knowledge, skills, and attitudes
required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement.
Completion of the program of study leads to a certificate
as an Apprentice Machinist.
Length of Program
A minimum of 16 credit hours is required for graduation. A full time student
can expect to complete the program in 2 quarters.
Employment Opportunities
A graduate may find employment as an apprentice machinist or in related employment.
Admissions Requirements
Age: Applicant must be
16 years or older.
Education: A high school
diploma/GED is not required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Admission
testing is required for entrance
into this certificate program.
