Program
Description
The Phlebotomy Technician TCC program is a
sequence of courses that prepares graduates
for entry-level employment as phlebotomy technicians.
The program provides learning opportunities
which introduce, develop, and reinforce occupational
knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary
for job acquisition, retention, and advancement.
Additionally, the program provides opportunities
to retrain and upgrade present knowledge and
skills. Completion of the program of study
leads to a certificate as a Phlebotomy Technician.
Program graduates are eligible to sit for a
National Registry of Certified Phlebotomy Technicians
examination.
Length of Program
A minimum of 20 credit hours is required for
graduation. A full time student can expect
to complete the program in 2 quarters.
Employment
Opportunities
A graduate may find employment as a phlebotomy
technician or related employment.
