Plastics Technology - Associate
of Applied Science Degree

The purpose of the Plastics Technology degree program is
to train highly skilled technicians who require advanced
knowledge and in the fields of injection molding and extrusion
technology. The program further emphasizes the development
of skills in the areas of statistical process control and
design of experiments for quality control purposes. Graduates
of the program are prepared for both entry level and advanced
careers in the field of plastics technology.
PROGRAM LENGTH
A minimum of 106 credit hours is required for graduation.
A full time student can expect to complete the program
in 8 quarters.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates who are current practitioners will benefit through
enhancement of career potential. Entry-level persons
will be prepared to pursue diverse opportunities in the
corrections,
security, investigation, and police administration fields.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
Age: Applicant must be 16 years or older.
Education: A high school diploma/GED is required.
Program Acceptance/Placement: Applicant must achieve
program ready or provisional scores on the ASSET placement
test
(or submit acceptable SAT/ACT scores.) Applicants who
do not
attain the minimum scores may take refresher/remedial
instruction in order to meet admissions requirements.
