The mission of the Clinical Laboratory Technology program is to offer students a quality educational opportunity through the development of academic competence; coupled with critical thinking skills, social, personal and intellectual values, and professional skills required for entry level employment as clinical laboratory technicians in the healthcare community.

Successful completion of the CLT program insures
graduates have the qualifications for working as a medical laboratory technician and are eligible for
national certification.
Graduates are most often employed in hospital laboratories, reference laboratories, government and private
research laboratories, physicians' offices and clinics, crime labs, home health care agencies, safety and health
research laboratories, and as sales representatives for laboratory equipment and supplies.
