Dental Hygiene Services FAQ
West Georgia Technical College is an ADA accredited dental hygiene program that offers dental hygiene services to the community. All treatment procedures are provided by Dental Hygiene Students under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist and Dental Hygiene Faculty. A thorough examination is completed at the initial visit and the treatment is primarily preventive.
No fillings, extractions or other restorative care is offered in the clinic.
Patients are referred to the dentist of their choice if additional treatment is needed.

- Dental Examinations
- Oral Cancer Screenings
- Prophylaxis (Cleanings)
- Fluroide Treaments
- X-rays (copies available for your dentist)
- Bleaching
- Sealants
Appointments days vary according to the school quarterly calendar and are also based on student schedules. Contact the Appointment Coordinator for available times at 770-947-7210.
Multiple appointments may be required for completion of treatment. Since this is a teaching institution, all procedures are evaluated by licensed instructors.
3 ½ hours for the first visit may be required in order for a thorough examination to be completed. Longer appointments for additional appointments will also be necessary since this is a learning environment.
48 hours notification is required if change of appointment is necessary. The student’s learning experience depends upon patient contact time.
