  Financial Aid - Deadlines

We thank you for considering West Georgia Technical College!

We will accept all applicants for financial assistance at any point during the quarter, but deadlines are very important to you at WGTC.

Students who apply after the financial aid deadline may not have book vouchers or financial aid credited to their accounts at the time classes begin. If you apply late it is your responsibility to cover your fees until you can be reimbursed. We recommend students take care of their financial aid needs, weeks in advance of the deadline dates, by familiarizing themselves with the school’s calendar.

Deadlines for 2008-2009 school year are:

Financial Aid and Admission Deadlines

Summer Quarter
June 1, 2008
Fall Quarter
September 1, 2008
Winter Quarter
December 1, 2008
Spring Quarter
March 2, 2009

Change of Programs (including HOPE Scholarship Evaluations)

Summer Quarter
May 12, 2008
Fall Quarter
August 11, 2008
Winter Quarter
November 3, 2008
Spring Quarter

It is the student's responsibility to turn in all information required for your files at WGTC in a timely manner. It's our policy that a student may remain enrolled for one quarter with an incomplete file. If your file is incomplete for a second quarter you will be denied the right to register or receive financial aid until your file is complete.

If you do not have your tax returns and you wish to apply for Federal aid please call 1-800-829-1040 to request a Letter 1722. This is a free copy of your income tax return especially designed for financial aid. Please be aware that this form takes 10-14 days to receive.

If you register after final registration, drop or add classes at any time during the quarter you must also let the financial aid office know of your actions. We want to credit your aid to your account properly.
