A GED or high school diploma will not be required
for admission to the college or to a program area unless specified
by state standards. However, prior to graduation, students in all
associate degree, diploma, and certain certificate programs must
submit an official GED or high school transcript to the Admission
Office.
• Receive a passing or satisfactory grade for all courses
listed in the appropriate curriculum or accepted as transfer
credit from another college.
• Earn a minimum GPA of 2.00.
• Meet any other program-specific requirements which have
been approved by the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
• Fulfill all financial obligations to West Georgia Technical
College and remove any “holds” on records.
• Complete an application for graduation no later than
mid-term of the quarter immediately prior to the last anticipated
quarter of study. If a student fails to meet all the graduation
requirements after applying for a specific date, the student
must reapply for graduation.
• Students will be awarded the highest credential earned.
If a diploma is attained, certificates will not be awarded as
well nor will a diploma be awarded if the associate degree is
achieved.
• Pay required costs of graduation that are incurred by
the student.
