Center for Child Development

The WGTC Center for Child Development was constructed and opened in 1995, and it cares for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years in a safe and nurturing environment. Each class offers low teacher/student ratios and specially trained teachers and teacher assistants to care for the children enrolled.

The unique shape of the building, texture of the wall coverings, color scheme and even the equipment selected for the playground area have been designed to be used as educational experiences for the children. Children interact with the environment that surrounds them through an emphasis on the development of a child's creative, communicative, interpersonal and social skills, as well as the traditional educational skills. In addition, the Center serves as a learning laboratory for adult students enrolled in instructional training programs.

Driving down Fort Drive, and turning left at the second major driveway, you approach the entrance to the Child Development Center.
