Health officials worldwide are closely monitoring the outbreak of illness caused by the newly identified coronavirus (COVID-19). To date, there have been NO cases of COVID-19 reported at West Georgia Technical College, although there are reported cases in the state of Georgia. We recognize that this is a rapidly evolving situation and that the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Georgia Department of Public Health and others can change frequently.
West Georgia Technical College has no higher priority than the health and safety of members of our community. We encourage all members of the College’s community to monitor the CDC Coronavirus 2019 website as it provides the most current reference information. Prevention is a key strategy with any virus, such as influenza or this coronavirus, so it is important both to protect yourself and take measures against spread to others.
