As an essential part of the health care team, you’ll play an important part in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of illness and disease. Clinical Laboratory Technology (Medical Laboratory Technology) students learn the methods and procedures used to perform tests analyzing human blood, body fluid and urine samples.
Mission Statement
The Clinical Laboratory Technology (Medical Laboratory Technology) program, with the assistance of its clinical affiliates, is committed to providing quality didactic, laboratory, and clinical instruction through cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains of learning, encompassing the skills needed to examine, analyze, and interpret results from blood, body fluids, and other diagnostic specimens. Upon graduation, students are prepared to work as clinical laboratory technicians in various medical laboratories and are eligible take a national certification examination through the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) or the American Medical Technologist (AMT) Certification.
