Annual Art Exhibit

The Art Exhibit is an annual event open to all WGTC students, faculty, and staff who wish to share their work with the college. The annual exhibit showcases the diversity of creative talent within the WGTC community.

Individuals may submit up to 2 entries per year using the online Submission Form. Submissions may be entered until the submission deadline. Entries are judged by a panel of local artists each year during March and April. Winners are announced and prizes are awarded before the close of spring semester.

Winners will be notified by email and will be asked to bring their artwork in preparation for the Awards Reception. The winners and their families will be invited to the Awards Reception.


2021 Art Exhibit Submission Guidelines

West Georgia Technical College will hold its annual Art Exhibit to name Showcase and Merit winners. Submissions will be accepted online beginning Fall 2020 and ending on April 12, 2021. The Exhibit will highlight creative individuals and their work that are part of our college community. Submissions will be accepted from the following:

  • Current students of WGTC
  • Recent graduates of WGTC (2019 to present)
  • Current staff and faculty members of WGTC
  • Retired staff and faculty members of WGTC
  • Members of WGTC’s various boards and advisory committees


There is a limit of two entries per artist.

Submissions must be the creative work solely of the submitter; we will not accept submissions made on behalf of anyone who does not fall into one of the categories above.

All works submitted must be display ready.

Pastels or charcoals must have a sealant or fixative applied; photos must be matted or framed for display.

All works submitted according to the guidelines outlined here are eligible to have their work considered for inclusion in the Art Exhibit.

Submission does not guarantee display; due to space limitations we may not be able to physically display every submission.

All correctly submitted artwork from current students (2020-2021) are eligible for cash awards.

We will accept submissions starting Fall Semester 2020 and close the submission process April 12, 2021.

A photo of each individual artwork must be accompanied by a submission form. Artwork without submission forms will not be accepted for consideration.  The online submission form must be used; complete the information and submit along with a photo of your artwork. A separate submission form is required for each artwork.

Please submit your art as a photo attachment to our submission form. An email will be sent to with your entry. If you have questions regarding submissions, contact Bryan Murphy at the email address listed.

Artists whose works are chosen for physical display will be contacted to bring in their work for the Awards Reception and display.
