West Georgia Technical College Announces Anthony Cardenas as New Vice President of Student Affairs

Tony Cardenas headshotCARROLLTON, GA – West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is proud to announce the appointment of Anthony Cardenas as the Vice President of Student Affairs effective December 1, 2025. With more than 25 years of experience in higher education leadership, Cardenas brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and strategic vision to the role.

Cardenas has served institutions in both Florida and Indiana, contributing to a wide range of student-centered operations including enrollment management, student services, student life, recruitment, admissions, marketing, and public information. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation as an innovative leader committed to supporting students and elevating institutional success.

Cardenas has consistently demonstrated the ability to drive meaningful progress in key areas such as increasing enrollment, expanding scholarship programs, strategic enrollment management planning, and institutional advancement. His work has strengthened campus communities, enhanced student experiences, and elevated the visibility and reputation of the institutions he has served.

In addition to his extensive professional experience, Cardenas holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Saint Francis and a Master of Public Affairs in Public Management from Indiana University.
