Q:What is the minimum age to register for classes?
A:

Free classes are available for anyone 16 and over with proper identification. Those individuals who are under 18 will be required to show proof of withdrawal from the last school attended or proof that the student is not enrolled in the local system. Underage students must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian, unless they are emancipated.

Q:How long will it take for me to obtain my high school equivalency (GED®/HiSET®) credential?
A:

The time to complete our program varies with each individual.  Our goal is to educational support that will allow you to acquire all the tools you need to be successful in this program.

Q:What kind of work experience programs do you offer?
A:

Opportunities vary from county to county.  Please reach out to our Career Service Specialist to find out available opportunities.  In order to be considered for any work experience opportunities, or earn a referral to an employer, current students must be in good standing with the program, demonstrating a strong work ethic and good communication skills, and have a recommendation from their instructor.

Q:What if I have an expired ID?
A:

You must have an unexpired, government-issued photo ID in order to attend class.  Those that are taking an exam through Pearson VUE, please refer to id requirements for your scheduled exam.

Q:What do I do if I need testing accommodations?
A:

In order to receive accommodations for testing due to a disability, you must complete the necessary paperwork and receive approval for accommodations from GEDTS in Washington. The paperwork can be found at https://www.ged.com/about_test/accommodations/.

Q:How do I get my high school equivalency (GED®/HiSET®) transcript or HSE® Diploma?
A:

If you need a copy of your HSE diploma or transcript, this request must be done directly through TCSG. You may contact GED Customer Service Contact Center at 1-800-946-9433 or make this request here.
