Career Plus High School

The Career Plus High School Diploma Program (CPH) is another path toward high school graduation that allows students to earn a high school diploma and college credentials at the same time. Georgians aged 18 and older* can finish high school and gain high-demand workforce skills without the stress of a high-stakes test.

*Students who are 18-20 years of age must have 5.5 or fewer of the required 9 high school credits

You need a copy of your high school transcript, if you ever attended high school. You will also need a state-issued ID and proof of lawful presence in the United States. You also need to provide proof of Georgia residency for funding purposes.

You will need to contact the Board of Education in the city or county where you attended high school to request a copy of your high school transcript.

The length of time to complete the CPH Diploma program varies based upon how many high school credits you need to complete and which college program you choose. Most students complete the program within three semesters.

High school classes are offered online and are designed to be completed in 8 weeks or less. Students work at their own pace. Courses are taught by Adult Education faculty. Students may take high school and college courses at the same time, high school courses only, or college courses only. While some college courses can be completed online, many college courses are not offered online due to the hands-on nature of the classes.

High school courses are not assessed tuition or fees; all materials, including textbooks, are available in Blackboard. The HOPE HSE Examination Grant can be used to cover the cost of high school equivalency exams. College courses are assessed tuition, fees, and textbooks, but there are a variety of funding sources, including scholarships and grants, to help reduce or eliminate these costs.
