Dental Hygiene Clinic Services and Fees
West Georgia Technical College provides affordable dental hygiene services to patients through our on-campus dental clinic. We are committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive dental hygiene care in a welcoming and professional environment.
Clinic Policies
All services are provided by dental hygiene students under the direct supervision of licensed dental hygiene faculty members and dentists. As a teaching clinic, we are pleased to offer these valuable services to the community at a reduced cost.
What to expect for Patient Services / Appointments
Your initial appointment will include a comprehensive oral assessment and any necessary dental X-rays. Dental cleaning services will begin after the assessment has been completed.
Because this is a teaching clinic, student education is an important part of each appointment. Treatment may take longer than it would in a private dental office. Please plan for each appointment to last at least three hours. Depending on your individual treatment needs, additional appointments may be required.
Dental Services
The clinic provides dental hygiene services only. You may have to return for an additional appointment for your cleaning. We do not provide restorative or surgical dental treatment, including fillings, crowns, root canals, or extractions. When additional dental treatment is needed, our supervising dentist will provide a referral form for you to take to your private dentist. Upon request, we can also email your dental X-rays to your dentist.
Payment
Payment is due at the time services are provided. We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Debit cards, Credit cards, Apple Pay

Appointment times are available at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Fall Semester: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Spring Semester: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Summer Semester: Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Clinic Services Information
- Patients are seen by appointment only. Walk-in patients may be accommodated based on clinician availability.
- We welcome everyone; non-English speakers must provide an adult interpreter.
- Dental hygiene treatment cannot be provided without an assessment.
- Before radiographs can be taken, a complete medical history and initial evaluation are required.
- A parent or guardian must remain in the waiting room while care is being provided to a minor.
- Only children with an appointment are allowed in the treatment area.
- All information is kept confidential.

All payments are collected prior to receiving dental treatment.

We do not accept insurance or Flexible Spending Account/ Health
Saving Account Cards for payment.
Schedule an Appointment
To request an appointment, please call (770) 947-7210. The clinic telephone is answered during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday. If staff are assisting other callers or the clinic is closed, please leave a voicemail and your call will be returned as soon as possible
Cancellation Policy: Appointments are part of our students’ training and educational requirements. Patients must provide 24-hour cancellation notice. After two broken appointments, the patient will lose the privilege of being treated at the WGTC Dental Hygiene Clinic for 6months.
