West Georgia Technical College Awarded $10,000 Grant from Dollar General Literacy Foundation to Support Adult Education
Carrollton, GA – West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is proud to announce that its Adult Education program has received a $10,000 grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation (DGLF). The funds are a part of a record-setting, one-day donation in the Foundation’s history of more than $13.2 million to support adult, family, and summer literacy across the country.
“This grant is a game-changer—it will help us provide more resources to support adults with low literacy skills, focusing on improving reading so they can thrive in workforce training programs,” said Rebecca Wheeler, Dean of Adult Education at WGTC. “We are incredibly grateful to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for investing in the future of our students and our communities.”
