West Georgia Technical College’s Brandi Sanchez Selected for Leadership Douglasville Class of 2026

Leadership Douglas 26 ClassDOUGLASVILLE, GA – West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is proud to announce that Brandi Sanchez, Financial Aid Coordinator at the Douglas Campus, has been selected to join the Leadership Douglas Class of 2026. The program, led by the Douglas County Chamber Foundation, equips participants with the knowledge, connections, and resources to become effective leaders within the community.

Leadership Douglasville is a year-long initiative designed to develop informed and engaged leaders who are committed to building a stronger Douglas County. Through monthly educational sessions, interactive tours, and conversations with key local leaders, participants gain in-depth exposure to vital community sectors, including education, economic development, local government, public safety, and civic engagement. The program offers hands-on experiences that provide a deeper understanding of the issues and opportunities shaping the community.

Each year, 25 participants are selected for this competitive program. Applicants submit a detailed application highlighting their skills, experience, and community involvement, along with a three-minute interview video. The program runs from September to May and includes an opening retreat, 11 full-day sessions, a closing retreat with graduation, homework, and a service project.

“Brandi’s dedication to student success and service to the community make her an ideal representative of WGTC in this program,” said Dr. Tonya Whitlock, Vice President of Student Affairs. “We are excited to see her expand her leadership skills and deepen her impact both on campus and across the region.”
