West Georgia Technical College Hosts Virtual Sessions of the World’s Largest One-Day Leadership Conference
CARROLLTON, GA – West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is proud to announce that it will host virtual sessions of Leadercast 2025: Legacy of Impact across all campuses throughout October. More than 700 WGTC employees will participate in this premier leadership development experience—the world’s largest one-day leadership conference—now celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Originally broadcast live from the historic Midland Theatre in Kansas City, Missouri, on April 8, 2025, Leadercast 2025 brings together an inspiring lineup of thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers who are shaping the future of leadership. This year’s theme, Legacy of Impact, empowers participants to lead with optimism, empathy, and a commitment to meaningful action.
Featured speakers include:
- Jesse Cole – Founder of the Savannah Bananas and Fans First Entertainment
- Dominique Dawes – Olympic gold medalist and trailblazing entrepreneur
- Andy Stanley – Best-selling author and leadership expert
- Jon Gordon – Renowned consultant and author of The Energy Bus

Through an exclusive agreement with Leadercast, WGTC is piloting virtual sessions this October to expand access to world-class leadership training for faculty and staff.
Donnie Lafferty, Executive Director of Human Resources at WGTC, has been involved with Leadercast since 2002 and now serves as a member of the Leadercast Advisory Board working closely with Leadercast President Brian Morris.
“Leadercast has been a cornerstone of leadership development for many years and has evolved to better meet the needs of today’s audiences,” said Lafferty. “We’re excited to see it thrive again in our community—as both a training and networking opportunity—while we continue to grow and educate a strong, capable workforce. I’m honored to represent higher education and WGTC at the Leadercast table, and following this virtual pilot in October, we’re already looking forward to hosting an incredible community Leadercast event right here at WGTC in 2026.”
