WGTC Adult Education to Offer FREE GED Classes This January
CARROLLTON, GA – West Georgia Technical College’s (WGTC) Adult Education program is helping individuals reach their educational goals in 2026 by offering free GED® preparation classes beginning in January. Flexible morning, afternoon, and evening classes will be available in Carroll, Douglas, Coweta, Troup, Franklin, Meriwether, and Haralson counties.
Registration Details and Class Locations:
WGTC Campuses
Weekly GED preparation classes are held at all WGTC campuses.
Locations: Carroll, Douglas, Coweta, LaGrange and Murphy campuses.
Registration: January 6 and 13 at 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Goodwill Newnan (Thomas Crossroads)
Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Location: Goodwill in Newnan, 3121 Hwy 34 East Newnan, GA 30265
Registration: January 6 at 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the WGTC Coweta Campus.
MWI Workforce Institute, Villa Rica
Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: MWI Institute, Tri-County Plaza, 451 W. Bankhead Hwy Suite 117 Villa Rica, GA 30180
Registration: January 12 at 1:00 p.m.
The Adult Education program offers a wide range of benefits, including free official GED® or HiSET practice tests and scholarships for high school equivalency testing for those who qualify. Students also receive college and career guidance, resume preparation with mock interviews and employer referrals. Additional opportunities include computer literacy certifications, graduation ceremonies, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) workforce programs designed to connect education with career advancement.
