West Georgia Technical College Seeks Program Director for New Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program

carroll campus main buildingCARROLLTON, GA – West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is launching a new Diagnostic Medical Sonography Associate Degree program at its Carroll Campus and is now accepting applications for a Program Director to lead the program.

The program is designed to prepare entry-level sonographers for careers in healthcare through a student-centered curriculum that combines classroom instruction, laboratory training, and supervised clinical experience. It emphasizes patient care, technical skill, ethical practice, and workforce readiness to meet the healthcare needs of the region.

The Program Director will be responsible for curriculum development and instruction; recruitment and advisement of students; budgeting; and management of adjunct faculty. The position also includes oversight of program implementation and course delivery across on-campus, online, and hybrid formats, as well as participation in college committees.

Aligned with WGTC’s mission and strategic goals, the program emphasizes innovation, technical proficiency, and collaboration, preparing graduates for certification, employment, and continued professional growth in the field of diagnostic medical sonography.
