Net Price Calculator

The Net Price Calculator (NPC) is a tool for students and parents to get a general estimate of the total costs to attend WGTC, based on their individual financial situation.

Net Price Calculator

How Does The Net Price Calculator Work?

To estimate your net cost, the Net Price Calculator first looks at the college's cost of attendance, which includes tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, transportation and personal expenses. Then, using financial data you enter into the calculator, the calculator estimates the amount that you/your family would be expected to contribute to pay for college expenses. Finally, the calculator evaluates your eligibility for financial aid (need-based and non-need-based) by matching your financial and personal characteristics to the criteria the college uses to determine financial aid awards. Please be reminded that this is only an estimate of financial aid eligibility. Final eligibility for federal and state financial aid is determined by the U.S. Department of Education and the Georgia Student Finance Commission. Actual financial aid awards, if approved, may differ from this estimated figure. Please remember, this is only an ESTIMATE* of financial aid eligibility. Final eligibility is determined after the submission of a FAFSA, determination of residency, eligibility, and availability of funds. Actual financial aid amounts, if approved, may differ from the estimated figure.

Things to Remember

The Net Price Calculator is only able to provide an estimate for in-state students attending WGTC. Out-of-state students are charged twice the tuition rate as in-state students (with exception: residents of Chambers, Cleburne and Randolph counties in Alabama will be considered “in-state residents” for admission and tuition purposes). Please refer to the Tuition and Fees page for more information on tuition rates.

• WGTC does not provide on-campus housing. The figures used for room and board are estimates for rent, utilities and food in the west Georgia area.

• Using the Net Price Calculator does not replace your application for financial aid. You must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for federal and state aid.

• Please note that in estimating costs for a technical college, the calculator assumes the student is attending year-round, including a summer term. Other colleges may only assume attendance for fall and spring terms, but not summer.

Getting Started

Completing the calculator should take only a few minutes of your time. You will be asked some basic questions about you and your family's financial situation so it might be helpful to have recent tax forms or pay stubs on hand before you begin. You can do this using the Net Price Calculator!

*The estimate provided using this net price calculator does not represent a final determination, or actual award, of financial assistance. The price of attendance and financial aid availability may change.
